REFRESH01: #LAYERS / finissage

The Link Art Center is proud to announce that REFRESH01 - LAYERS is coming to an end. The exhibition at Spazio Contemporanea, Brescia will close on Saturday, November 19. In that occasion, the exhibition will be open from 3.30 PM to 9.30 PM, and it will host, at 7PM, the presentation of the booklet documenting the exhibition, published by Link Editions; and, from 7.30 to 9.30 PM, a DJ set by Luca Blackradio. Giovanni Fredi: Untitled at Link Cabinet

The Link Art Center is proud to present Untitled, a new work by Giovanni Fredi. The show will be online at Link Cabinet from October 22 to November 19, 2016. On the occasion of the exhibition at Link Cabinet, Giovanni Fredi presents a new iteration of To my deacesed, a series of works that already includes some video and web-based artworks. The project is inspired by the Qingming Festival, a traditional event in China to remember and honour the ancestors. During this event people use to burn joss papers, paper replicas of different kind of objects as offerings to be enjoyed by the deceased during their afterlife. More recently joss paper include paper currency, credit cards replicas, cars, luxury objects, smartphones and digital devices in general. (more…)

The Link Art Center is proud to announce that Domenico Quaranta, our Artistic Director, is one of the curators of Altri tempi, altri miti, the main show of the 16th Art Quadriennale. Refresh 01 – #LAYERS

REFRESH is an exhibition series that wants to research Italian contemporary art and offer an update on practices that confront with the issues, languages and forms emerged with the digital turn of the last twenty years. The title of the series hints to the freshness of languages and to the wish to offer an update on recent artistic developments. The project consists of a series of mid-scale exhibitions, organized in temporary spaces with the involvement of different curators, in order to offer a full, detailed view on the contemporary Italian art scene.
