Sofia Braga – You Are Running Out of Battery

The Link Art Center is proud to present You Are Running Out of Battery, a work by Sofia Braga. The show will be online at Link Cabinet from May 16 to June 17, 2018.   Scrolling, the act of moving contents up and down on a screen, is probably the most common gesture we do within our daily interaction with computers and smartphones. The act of scrolling on a screen feeds the content bulimia that characterizes our relationship with the web, the continuous need to see something always new popping up at every scroll, generating a potentially infinite feed. With You Are Running Out of Battery, Sofia Braga focuses her attention on this very act and on the peculiar modality of browsing between contents that it fosters, namely what in web design is know as infinite scrolling. Max Dovey – Mining Cards at Link Cabinet

The Link Art Center is proud to present Mining Cards, a work by Max Dovey. The show will be online at Link Cabinet from March 28 to April 29, 2018.   Mining Cards by Max Dovey is a collectable trading card series stored on the blockchain. Each card features a custom made mining rig together with its technical information, and like Top Trumps, they can be used to play and trade a gainst one another. The cards depict the material infrastructure of blockchain networks and show the often domestic environments where computer nodes are located. (more…)

Eva Papamargariti – Transformative Encounters at Link Cabinet

The Link Art Center is proud to present Transformative Encounters, a work by Eva Papamargariti. The show will be online at Link Cabinet from January 24 to February 25, 2018.   Transformative Encounters is a short visual narration including 3D animated materials, video recordings and poetic elements that refer to a multitude of bodies and their consecutive encounters with an unfamiliar organism that take place as they intersect, feed, touch, alter, discard, contain, compartmentalize and aknowledge each other's corporeality.
