Mar 24, 2016

The Link Art Center is extremely proud to announce that, on March 28, 2016 at 5.00 PM, the project Dadaclub.online will be presented in Zurich, Switzerland at the place where Dada was born in 1916: Cabaret Voltaire. Slovene artist and net.art pioneer Vuk Ćosić will join us, and will present a new project conceived for the Dada Jubilee.

Plakat Dadaclub

Dadaclub.online is a place for ongoing experimentation and the creative reuse of digital copies of original dada artworks, open to all those artists who want to celebrate with us this seminal moment in the history of Western culture and art. The website offers, in public domain, high quality digital copies and some 3D models of a selection of dada artworks kindly provided by Collezione Campiani that, understanding the free and snarky spirit of the project, allowed us full access for creative use to all its materials. Whoever may be interested in participating in the project can download from the website images and models, use them within her creative practice, and submit the results to the Link Art Center. Submissions are reviewed and published in the Gallery.

For the presentation at Cabaret Voltaire, we will introduce the project, show a selection of the works published so far, and announce the upcoming monthly feature, by the Austrian artist duo UBERMORGEN. Vuk Ćosić, who for Dadaclub.online made our first monthly feature, will install and introduce his “invisible museum”, a router with a USB key attached that creates a small offline zone where you can download a selection of dada files. By switching your mobile or a laptop on and logging into the wifi router – called READ MORE – the router captivates your browser and you see a site specific website that allows you to download dada materials collected by the artist.
